1990年徐州師范畢業(yè)
1998年中央美術(shù)學(xué)院研修班結(jié)業(yè)
2002年定居上海
2008年3月《孟巖的夢(mèng)言》在意大利傅欣畫廊舉行

我的藝術(shù)觀
繪畫對(duì)我來說是一種信仰,一種觀念,一種態(tài)度,一種追求,是老婆,是情人,是孩子,是朋友,是敵人,它是我價(jià)值觀,世界觀,宇宙觀的體現(xiàn)。繪畫的過程像信徒在參祥打坐頂禮莫拜,像斗士在拼命撕殺一刀致命,像情人纏纏綿綿藕斷絲連,像做愛在發(fā)泄在享受在施暴,像上帝主宰一切,唯我獨(dú)尊。
繪畫對(duì)藝術(shù)家而言是私密而個(gè)人的,創(chuàng)作的過程是與別人無關(guān)的。但作品本身卻是公眾的,世界的它的受眾是全人類的,不應(yīng)分啥國啥人。
藝術(shù)家作為人也要吃喝拉撒,是人子,人女,人妻,人夫,人父,人母,肩負(fù)著家庭與社會(huì)的責(zé)任,很多時(shí)候身不由己,唯小利,小名,小家,小我畫了世俗作品,情有可原而品不可原。作為藝術(shù)家一般情況都是自生自滅,自投門路沒有經(jīng)濟(jì)作為后盾是很難生存,特別是草根藝術(shù)家,沒有工資,不被普通人理解,生存際遇可想而知。如果混好啦名利雙收,混不好狗屁不如,說你混耷拉蛋啦。
這兩年藝術(shù)市場(chǎng)瘋了,有些藝術(shù)家被震傻了,一天到晚都盯著錢和秀了,光研究別人和市場(chǎng),哪有平和之心來研究自己和藝術(shù),只在呼別人的感受,對(duì)自己的感覺視而不見,只剩下麻木與無奈,變成行尸走肉。
作為藝術(shù)家每個(gè)人身上都有閃光點(diǎn),看怎樣控制,首先心態(tài)很重要,一要弄清自己需要啥。二要知道自己能干點(diǎn)啥,然后才是真誠而真實(shí)地活著。再次才是放下包袱甩開膀子,踢掉鞋子,脫掉褲子,不顧一切地沖上去,干 干 干。我想能做到這點(diǎn),理想與現(xiàn)實(shí)已不遠(yuǎn)矣。

My view on Art
The Art of painting is like a religion, an idea, an attitude, a pursuit. Art can be compared to as wife, lover, child, friend…It’s my values, my view of this world and the Universe. The process of painting is equivalent to a religious follower praying and meditating, it’s like a warrior fighting with every ounce of his strength to win a battle, yet sometimes it feels like a pair of inseparable lovers who is forever entwined and can never let go, it’s like passionate love making, it’s like God having control of everything, and I am the centre of the Universe.
From an artist’s point of view, painting is very intimate and personal; the process of creating Art has got nothing to do with anyone else. However, the finished product of Art is for the world to view, regardless of the nationality and race.
Artists are human too, and they need to eat and drink like every body else’s children, wives, husbands, parents. They too need to shoulder the responsibilities of bringing up a family. And thus, a lot of times, they produce very mediocre and commercial arts for the sake of making ends meet. Most of the time, artists are self destructive, especially when they cannot find a decent stream of income. This is especially so for artists that are from a poor family, they do not belong to the wage earning group, and their talents are not being appreciated. Either they get spotted for their works and they gain wealth and fame or they will forever be a “nobody”.
The Art economy has gone crazy over the past two years, and this has a serious impact on some artists. They solely focused on wealth and shows, spending most of their time researching on others and the market, rather than spending time in what they should - themselves and art! They are more concerned about how others perceive them rather than how they perceive themselves. As the days go by, they become assimilated into this materialistic world and they have no more self-respect and ideas. In my eyes, they are walking corpses!
Every artist has his own strength and individuality. It all depends on how he or she maneuvers that. I think foremost, one must have a firm mindset on what he or she wants. Secondly, an artist must know what he or she can do, and with these traits, then we can say we have truly lived and created. Last but not least, is to let go of our burdens, ignore all distractions in life and just create, create and create! If one can do that, then our ideals and real life are not far apart.
