藝術(shù)家簡介


  Rebecca Warren生于1965年,作為一位女雕塑家,她以富有生命力的,粗糲的雕塑創(chuàng)作而著稱,她常常使用的雕塑原料是粘土和青銅。


  Rebecca Warren的創(chuàng)作在挑戰(zhàn)傳統(tǒng)雕塑的同時(shí)也參照了雕塑史中的一些具有象征性的經(jīng)典形象,另外,她作為一位女藝術(shù)家在男性為主導(dǎo)的社會環(huán)境之下的身份思考也在她的作品中有相應(yīng)的體現(xiàn)。Rebecca的作品從難以歸類的模糊形態(tài)到具體清晰都有,這些作品看起來正統(tǒng)和怪誕的風(fēng)格兼?zhèn)洌行┳髌房雌饋碛泻苊黠@的性意味。


  Rebecca在談?wù)撟约旱淖髌窌r(shí)說:“雖然我的作品源自一種對以往創(chuàng)作的認(rèn)識和參考,但我的作品不是說教,它更接近新的啟示和不同的發(fā)現(xiàn)。”


  Rebecca Warren目前在倫敦工作和生活。她在2006年獲得了特納獎提名。英國媒體曾經(jīng)評論她說:“Rebecca Warren的創(chuàng)作不是對過去的模仿和拼湊,她的作品才華橫溢,并且具有原創(chuàng)性。”
