杜埃尼亞斯1979年出生于秘魯,目前定居于阿雷基帕。自孩提時(shí)代就非常喜歡繪畫和舞蹈的他懷著對(duì)藝術(shù)的向往，立志要成為畫家，在不斷完善開拓自己對(duì)于藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域的思考探究的同時(shí),于1997年至2003年在阿雷基帕的圣阿古斯丁國(guó)立大學(xué)藝術(shù)學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)繪畫技巧。
他的作品受維米爾的光線應(yīng)用、拉斐爾的色彩把握及米開朗基羅的暗色調(diào)主義熏陶，美國(guó)藝術(shù)家霍華德•派爾則是他創(chuàng)作靈感的來源和藝術(shù)道路得以延伸的動(dòng)力。
他嘗試在他的繪畫作品中展現(xiàn)那些神秘和未知的東西，并使用明快和柔和的顏色用以抵消這些深刻的主題。 杜埃尼亞斯的作品常常是源自照片，因此，其作品風(fēng)格常被定位為照像寫實(shí)主義，花朵主題則成為了他主要的照相寫實(shí)主義作品。

Duenas Silva was born in Peru on August 28, 1979. As a child, he loved to draw, paint and dance. Duenas embraced his artistic inclination and became an artist because by painting, he could nurture his imagination and develop his thoughts. He honed his skills at the National University of San Agustin in Arequipa, where he served on the art faculty from 1997 to 2003.
His works are influenced by Caravaggio's tenebrism, van Vermeer's use of light, and Raphael's color palette. Duenas cites American artist Howard Pyle as a source of continuous inspiration and credits him for his artistic evolution. He intends to manifest the mysterious and unknown in his paintings, and to offset these profound themes, he manipulates the clarity and softness of color. Duenas routinely references photographs and defines his style as academic photorealism. Flowers are the main protagonists in his works. "By revealing the innermost chambers of a flower, I seek to show the very basics of nature's incredible beauty," states Duenas. "I am humbled by it." His work is permanently exhibited at galleries in his native Peru and internationally in various Central and South American countries, the US and Canada. Duenas is currently single and resides in Arequipa.
