AYE畫廊將于2024年1月28日-3月2日推出藝術(shù)家盛天泓的個展“Red Flash”，本次展覽是盛天泓在AYE畫廊的第四次個人展覽。這些大約36開小尺寸的繪畫是疫情期間藝術(shù)家在德國的閣樓慢慢畫出來的。朋友的肖像，日常運動中的場景，過往的記憶，這些紛雜的內(nèi)容被他用同一的尺寸和單一的紅色統(tǒng)一成一個系列。雖然畫面完全是日常的零碎的記錄，但這種單一性的紅色在疫情期間卻顯得尤其醒目，日常性的畫面中蘊含文人畫的筆墨從容但卻又帶有一種危險的暗示。疫情期間，我們的生活被簡化到極致，人人孤島。盛天泓面臨著疫情封閉和文化與身份的雙重孤島。作為一個異鄉(xiāng)人，面臨著如何“度日”的種種問題，盛天泓做出了一種務實的反應——畫小尺寸的畫。這種口袋尺寸的畫可以說走就走，暗示藝術(shù)家隨時做好了遷移變動的準備，一切從簡的面對命運的無常，因此這個尺寸從一開始就帶有時代的烙印，是一切權(quán)宜的即時應對。

AYE Gallery is excited to announce the upcoming solo exhibition "Red Flash" by Sheng Tianhong, from January 28th to March 2nd, 2024. This marks Sheng Tianhong's fourth solo exhibition at AYE Gallery. The exhibition will feature a collection of postcard sized drawings that were created by the artist in his attic in Germany during the pandemic. The paintings depict portraits of friends, daily exercises, and nostalgic memories, all in the color red and of the same sizes. Despite the fragmented nature of the images, the monochromatic red is particularly striking, and the everyday scenes exude a sense of calmness reminiscent of literati painting with an added hint of danger.

In the midst of the pandemic, people’s lives were reduced to the bare minimum and isolation became the norm, Sheng Tianhong faced the added challenge of cultural and identity insularity as an alien in a foreign land. He responded to these challenges with a pragmatic approach - creating small paintings, which symbolizes his openness to adapt to life’s changes, come what may. The portable size of these paintings is a reflection of the times and serves as a makeshift solution.
