偏鋒新藝術(shù)空間成立于2006年4月，將于2009年3月進駐798藝術(shù)區(qū)，擁有面積為800平米的展示空間。偏鋒主要致力于發(fā)掘和培養(yǎng)新藝術(shù)家，更積極地將眼光放在繪畫和在其之外的材料、影像、裝置等不同創(chuàng)作媒材上，以多元化的形式再現(xiàn)著當代藝術(shù)的全貌。力求推動中國當代藝術(shù)向更縱深發(fā)展并進而邁入國際化。
偏鋒新藝術(shù)空間代理了劉志懿、范明正、吳笛、魏言、康海濤、鄔建安、李紅軍、黃洋、邵鯤、譚軍、劉文濤、吳海洲、蔣華君等十幾位中國當代重要的新藝術(shù)家；合作藝術(shù)家包括王川、宋琨、方天園、馬軻、熊宇、韋嘉、王光樂、康劍飛等一批中國當代優(yōu)秀藝術(shù)家；空間還收藏了大量的優(yōu)秀當代藝術(shù)作品，并一直以高質(zhì)量且有持續(xù)性的藝術(shù)展覽來推動當代中國的年輕藝術(shù)。
“A+A”展覽通過成熟的運作方式和獨到的藝術(shù)理念，已經(jīng)嬗變成遴選中國當代年輕藝術(shù)家的最佳平臺之一；“圖畫手工”展則被打造為最具前沿實驗性和探索性的裝置、材料、綜合媒體作品的展示系統(tǒng)。偏鋒新藝術(shù)空間的這兩個年度展已經(jīng)成為發(fā)掘當代年輕藝術(shù)家的大型聯(lián)展，負擔著挑選和推出優(yōu)秀新藝術(shù)家的責任，并成為偏鋒新藝術(shù)空間極力推崇的兩個重量品牌展。其他的專題展覽，反響也均極為強烈。
今后偏鋒新藝術(shù)空間的一貫目標仍將是展現(xiàn)當下新藝術(shù)生態(tài)中的創(chuàng)造力，挖掘有潛力的藝術(shù)家；還原當代新藝術(shù)多元性創(chuàng)作中的真實狀態(tài)；舉辦對當代中國年輕藝術(shù)有貢獻的前衛(wèi)展覽。繼續(xù)致力于成為專業(yè)的展覽、出版、交流的平臺。
Established in May 2006, Pifo New Art Studios is an art gallery committed to discovering and supporting emerging artists and to the promotion of painting and artworks of different media of video, photography and installation. With a display space of 600 square metres at Caochangdi in Beijing, Pifo aims at presenting the diversity of Chinese contemporary art and facilitating its development and internationalization.
Pifo New Art Studios represents a dozen of important new artists in China, including Liu Zhiyi, Fan Mingzheng, Wu Di, Wei Yan, Kang Haitao, Wu Jian’an, Li Hongjun, Huang Yang, Shao Kun, Tan Jun, Liu Wentao, Wu Haizhou, Xu Shuo and Zhang Ning. Cooperate artist including Wang Chuan,Hu Shengping,Song Kun,Fan Tianyuan,Ma Ke,Xiong Yu,Wei Jia,Wang Guangle and Kang Jianfei.Pifo Pursues its goal through collecting good contemporary art and through high quality and continued art exhibitions, such as the A+A and Painting and Handwork series, both annual group shows curated by Pifo where young contemporary artist emerge. While A+A is already one of the best platforms for young contemporary Chinese artists, Painting and Handwork is becoming a performance stage for experimental installation, video and mixed media works. Pifo also presents other theme exhibitions, with similar strong resonance from the audience.
With a vision of being a professional platform for art exhibition, publishing and exchanges, Pifo New Art Studios will continue to demonstrate the creativity in present new art habitat, discover talented artists and present the diversity in new art production, all through exhibitions that contribute to China’s avant-garde young art.
