來自沈陽的藝術(shù)家--訾鵬在《祖國的花朵》系列作品中，通過對文化、歷史、權(quán)力、幻想、和性等方面的融合，大膽的表現(xiàn)出中國青少年在成長過程中的好奇心與夢想。這些驚世之作完美地展現(xiàn)了美麗的中國及其新的一代。
畫面中描繪的男孩實際上是正處于青春期的畫家本人。與整個畫面所表現(xiàn)的方式不同的是，除了那條系在脖子上的紅領(lǐng)巾--希望成長為一個“色彩繽紛的花朵”外，畫面中的小男孩是完全寫實的，黑白的。相反的，在背景的處理上，畫家采用的是荒謬而又華麗的表現(xiàn)手法,沒有拘泥于一種固有的構(gòu)圖比例也沒有拘泥于一種色調(diào)，所有的物體都懸浮在失重的半空中，彼此重疊于一種陌生而有絢麗的組合中。畫面色彩明亮、醒目。從以紅色和金色相交的《恭喜發(fā)財》到一藍(lán)白色調(diào)的《青花》再到以微妙的綠色和灰色為主色調(diào)的《茶道》，畫面的總體效果是震撼的。當(dāng)這些完全不協(xié)調(diào)的因素組合在同一個畫面當(dāng)中時，本因該是非常荒謬的， 然而，這些美麗而又陌生的元素，通過藝術(shù)家精彩的想象力結(jié)合在一起時，竟然產(chǎn)生了一種強烈的充滿震撼力的的美。
總之，藝術(shù)家通過青春期的關(guān)于性、夢想和權(quán)利等復(fù)雜問題的思考，以及小男孩對成年人的“美好世界”的向往，向我們展示了童年時光單純率真興奮與激動，同時也是對美好純真的幸福時光的追憶。所有的不同的象征著性的美麗圖案在小男孩的眼中都幻化成了一種英雄似的膜拜，藝術(shù)家用一種獨特的方式將一個擁有美好幻想的天真無邪的少年男孩和五彩斑斕充滿欲望的背景達(dá)到了完美的統(tǒng)一。
Zi Peng - The Future of Chinese Contemporary Art
Through the blend of culture, history, fantasy, power, and sexuality, the "Flower of the Motherland" series of the Shenyang-based artist Zi Peng speaks boldly about the curiosity, dreams and growing-up of the youth in China today. This astonishing series demonstrate both the beauty of China and its influence on the new generation.
The boy depicted in the painting is in fact the artist himself at adolescence. With different expression, the boy in the canvas is painted extremely realistic and entirely in grayscale except for a red scarf around his neck, hoping to blossom and grow to become a "colourful flower". The background, in contrary, is painted in an absurd and flamboyant manner, not governed by rules of proportion or depth, and is of an overall reminiscent style. Objects linger weightlessly in mid-air, overlapping each other in a glorious lurid mix. Colours are bright and eye-catching, from shades of red and gold in Gong Xi Fa Cai, to shades of blue and white in Qinghua, to subtle green and grey in Chadao. The overall effect is overwhelming. In fact, the painting looks rather absurd and entirely incongruous in its elements when view together. It is gaudy, and yet, strangely beautiful when blend together by artist brilliant imagination.
In this collection, the artist desires to showcase the beauty of the adolescent innocence, the happiness and the excitement derived from a simplistic and candid view towards complex issues such as sex, expectation and power. The items in the background of each painting relate to female sexuality, and the dream-like world that the boy expects of the adult "Funworld". The use of various motifs symbolizes the beautification of sex in the eyes of the boy, which becomes a sort of hero-worshipping process. In a marvelous way, the purity and ignorance displayed by a youth figure has wonderfully harmonized the other-wise decadent sexuality depicted in the background.
