絲綢是中國文化的重要組成部分, 歷史上的絲綢之路把中國的文化,商貿(mào)等轉(zhuǎn)遞到了歐洲,對于世界文明產(chǎn)生了巨大的影響力,中國也為譽為"絲國"。中國絲綢文化為人類文明的發(fā)展做出了貢獻(xiàn),至今飲譽全世界。

Silk is important part of Chinese Culture. Silk Road spread culture, trade into the ancient Europe and had great influence on World Civilization. Hence, China was regarded as “Silk Country”. Chinese silk made great contributions on international civilization and enjoys good reputation until now.

發(fā)展到當(dāng)代的絲綢,如何再現(xiàn)昔日的輝煌;在當(dāng)今的社會中,絲綢如何對于我們的生活產(chǎn)生影響;在日益強大的中國國力影響下,絲綢如何一如既往走在世界舞臺上。值蘇州絲綢博物館新館開館之際,我們邀請了五位在國內(nèi)外頗具影響力的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)家,試圖通過他們作品對于絲綢的理解,來解答上述的問題。

Currently, we couldn’t help wondering that how silk can be represent past glory currently; how silk still give influence on our daily life; and how silk can be active in the international platform under the increasingly state influence. With the momentum of opening of Suzhou Silk Museum, Five contemporary artists with good reputation in this field have been invited to tailor-made artwork for opening. With their deep understanding of silk on their artwork, the answer to wonders mentioned at the beginning might be found the solutions.

蘇州絲綢博物館曾是明清顯赫一時的蘇州織造府的所在地,更是展陳和記錄了近代絲綢工業(yè)的發(fā)展史。以往的織造技藝,圖案花樣,成為我們本次展覽的靈感源。我們用更為藝術(shù)的手法,請藝術(shù)家獨身定制,或抽象,或詼諧,或敘事,或浪漫,或夸張,用不同的表情來呈現(xiàn)絲綢藝術(shù)的多面性,以達(dá)到一個新的藝術(shù)境界――此為展覽主題“絲境”的由來。

Suzhou Silk Museum once was the location of royal- family- run- weaving- office in the dynasty of MING & QING. Besides, it is also the place to completely displaying the birth & development of Modern silk industry. The previous weaving technique as well as traditional pattern have been the aspiration of this exhibition. The artists we invited will present multi-faces of silk art, which might be abstract, humor, narrative, romantic as well as exaggerate. The final effect can reach new stage of silk art, we hope, that’s why the theme of exhibition is from.

有別于以往絲綢展覽的平面化表達(dá),本次展覽更多的是立體空間的表達(dá),絲綢成為非常好的媒介。梁紹基的“蠶潺潺”用影像和立體裝置的手法,敘述了蠶微觀世界的一年四季;谷文達(dá)的“二十四節(jié)氣”用蠶繭屋和緙絲現(xiàn)場表演的手法,強調(diào)了當(dāng)下織造工藝的重要性和傳承性;張恩利用夸張的手法和油畫技法,給傳統(tǒng)中的“花樣”賦予了當(dāng)代性;計文于和朱衛(wèi)兵的“圣山不遠(yuǎn)”用布雕的手法,詼諧地把絲綢和我們當(dāng)下生活聯(lián)系起來,引人深思;汪一舟是一位有“禪型”的藝術(shù)家,遵循“少既多”的原則,在本次展覽中他試圖用柔軟的絲綢浪漫地表現(xiàn)厚重的高山,用至柔表現(xiàn)至剛。

Different with plat expression of previous silk exhibition, we more stressed on three-dimensional effect which will closely link with space and silk will be the best media in this regard. “ CHAN, CHAN ,CHAN” ( cocoon, flowing, zen which share same pronounce in Chinese) from Liang Shaoji narratives four seasons of cocoon worlds with the media of video as well as three-dimensional installation. “ 24 solar terms” from GU WENDA emphasized on the importance and heritage of weaving technology with the formation of live-show of KESI-Weaving.  Zhang Enli, famous contemporary oil painter, exaggerated on the traditional “pattern” and give the pattern with modern sense. “Holy hill not far away” is from Couple of Mr. &MRS JI Wenyu and will give the audience the strong humor sense with linkage of daily life. The last artist, Wang YIZHOU is the one with strong Buddhist sense tries to present hardness mountain with soft silk.

希望本次藝術(shù)展覽作為新館開館的一道盛宴,給予觀眾耳目一新的展覽方式,讓絲綢作為藝術(shù)媒介而非功能性的材料被觀眾所認(rèn)可。此拋磚引玉之說,也能引起商業(yè)空間,藝術(shù)機構(gòu),文化傳媒,乃至絲綢類企業(yè)的興趣和重視。最后,也感謝為本次展覽付出巨大努力的藝術(shù)家及藝術(shù)家工作室,以及蘇州絲綢博館和蘇州博物館的大力支持。

We sincerely hope that this exhibition will offer audience the feast with different feeling. More importantly, Silk as un-functional material and directly served as art media can be admitted by audience. The transition can arouse the interest from Commercial Space, Art Agency, Culture Media as well as silk enterprises from different levels. Finally, special thanks will go for invited artists as well as staff from artist studio; for the strong support from Suzhou Silk Museum & Suzhou Museum.
