參展藝術家黃一瀚

與消極遁世、諱談現(xiàn)實的傳統(tǒng)水墨畫家不同,也與一些“精英情結”嚴重,對公眾領域,包括對當下大眾流行文化不屑一顧的現(xiàn)實水墨畫家不同,黃一瀚近期在進行水墨創(chuàng)作時,憑著藝術家的敏感與良知,自覺地把藝術視角放在了都市商業(yè)文化、電子網(wǎng)絡文化、卡通流行文化與高科技帶來的“后人類”文化中,并且以一個知識分子的獨立的立場去體驗、去反省、去批判,結果他用實際行動為中國畫爭取了對社會現(xiàn)實問題的發(fā)言權。應該說,這對一向不太涉及現(xiàn)實社會問題的水墨畫界是有著巨大啟示意義的。

黃一瀚的近作常常將時下流行的藝術明星、時尚青年、卡通人物、西式玩具以及麥當勞叔叔等視覺符號并置在一起。倘若將其置于當下大眾日常生活的大背景中,同時把我們自己的日常生活經(jīng)驗帶入讀解,我們似乎并不難發(fā)現(xiàn),畫家關注的文化問題乃是:在商業(yè)文化與高科技造成的人文環(huán)境中,“卡通一代”將何去何從。

黃一瀚大膽吸收了廣告、電腦以及卡通的處理手法,這使得他的作品在風格樣式上與所有傳統(tǒng)的、現(xiàn)代的水墨畫創(chuàng)作都完全不同。在黃一瀚的近作中,技法往往是混雜共生的,而且造成了異樣的感覺與強烈的視覺沖擊力。但我一點也不覺得這樣的處理僅僅是著眼于純粹的花樣翻新,恰恰相反,在我看來這樣的處理手法正好象征地表達了“卡通一代”在當下文化環(huán)境中已發(fā)生變異的概念。此外,它還可以有效調動觀眾的相關生活經(jīng)驗,直至理解藝術家強調的觀念。

Ink-painting Focusing on Social Issues as a Right to Speak

Differing from both those painters who are negative, passive, retired from the society and those who take themselves as cultural elites and scorn all public pop culture, Huang Yihan comes to focusing on pop culture consisted of business culture, e-culture, cartoon, high-tech culture and the kind. He consider it is also vital for an artist and independent intellectual to reflect, criticize and make speak to social issues using their tools respectively. It should be a significance for Ink-painting which in traditional has involved not a little bit in the field.
In his recent works, Huang mixed popular star, fashion youth, cartoon character, Ronald McDonald and Western-style toy, and other visual symbol all together. It is not difficult for us to find that the focusing the painter pay attention upon is the human living environment. It is still the essential question: Where we are and where are going?
Skills in ad, PC, and cartoon is adopted by the painter Huang in his painting, therefore his works often show a style differed from the traditional ones, touchable, strange and strong in visual impact. Important is I don’t think it is merely a new form, but in fact a brand-new concept and new esthetic trend fitting to present the real conditions of man who are living in a cartoon age. It is the very experience produced from our lives around and culture.
