一年前，藝術(shù)家趙半狄于2008中國(guó)時(shí)裝周成功推出其熊貓時(shí)裝，今年，他將在巴黎東京宮這一國(guó)際舞臺(tái)向世界展示中國(guó)的熊貓時(shí)裝！熊貓為中國(guó)的標(biāo)志性符號(hào)，中國(guó)藝術(shù)家趙半狄成功地占有了這個(gè)國(guó)家符號(hào)，并通過(guò)令人嘆為觀止的想象力和令人眼花繚亂的藝術(shù)方式向世界展示了一個(gè)不一樣的中國(guó)。他的作品包括圖片，錄像和表演。其作品的開(kāi)放性和所具有的干預(yù)中國(guó)社會(huì)的能量讓他成為今天中國(guó)最著名和最具影響力的藝術(shù)家之一。
他的熊貓時(shí)裝秀就是這樣的顛峰之作。在他之前，沒(méi)有一個(gè)設(shè)計(jì)師或藝術(shù)家以時(shí)裝這個(gè)載體如此徹底的將中國(guó)社會(huì)的各階層，各種人物亮相于T型臺(tái)。觀眾在時(shí)裝角色中尋找和發(fā)現(xiàn)自己，感到的是震驚和不適應(yīng)感。一些人們司通見(jiàn)慣的人群如妓女、二奶、腐敗官員等在絢麗的時(shí)尚舞臺(tái)亮相，讓人們?cè)陂_(kāi)心嘻嘻哈哈之間反思我們今天的社會(huì)和生活。嚴(yán)肅和玩笑糾集在一起。熊貓時(shí)裝秀是中國(guó)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的一個(gè)偉大而美妙的作品。
趙半狄，1966年生于北京，至今生活工作在此。1988年畢業(yè)于中央美院。從1993年起他的作品開(kāi)始在國(guó)際展覽展出，包括：悉尼雙年展（1998），第四十八屆威尼斯雙年展（1999），第一屆廣州三年展（2002）。他的項(xiàng)目“趙半狄和熊貓咪”在上海，倫敦，米蘭等很多地方公共展出。
東京宮（Palais de Tokyo）坐落于巴黎塞納河畔，前身是現(xiàn)安置于蓬皮杜藝術(shù)中心的國(guó)立現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館，展館建筑與巴黎市立現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館空中相連，與埃菲爾鐵塔隔河相望。它在巴黎的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域中占據(jù)著舉足輕重的地位，對(duì)世界當(dāng)代藝術(shù)潮流都有著重要的影響，他的每一個(gè)展覽都引起廣泛的關(guān)注與反響。自2002年1月開(kāi)館，開(kāi)館時(shí)間（正午至午夜）、風(fēng)格（強(qiáng)調(diào)休閑與教育功能）、策展手法（發(fā)掘新人、重新展出藝術(shù)前輩）方面均予以創(chuàng)新，其參觀人數(shù)居全歐藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)之首；流行媒體如《Elle》、《Vogue》都將它納入報(bào)導(dǎo)。

Since artist Zhao Bandi successfully exhibited his panda fashion during 2008 Chinese International Fashion Week, he is now going to present BANDI PANDA fashion show at Palais de Tokyo to the world! Panda is a symbol of China. Chinese artist Zhao Bandi takes this unqiue symbol as his own, and uses it to show the world a very distinctive China through his incredible creativity in the way of art. Zhao Bandi's works include Photograph, Video and Performance.The works of Zhao Bandi, known by its openness and the power of interference to Chinese society, have made him one of the most famous and influential artists in China.
His panda fashion show is one of the very typical and fantastic works. Before him, no any designer or artist has ever put the whole chinese society including each stratum and all kinds of typical people on the catwalk. Audience might feel shocked and uncomfortable when they find themselves from these characters. The common people as well as prostitute, concubine, corrupt official, etc, are presented in the same fabulous fashion show, which entertain us while also urge us to take a serious think about our life and society today. Panda fashion show is a great and beautiful chinese contemporary art work.
Zhao Bandi was born in 1966 in Beijing, where he lives and works. He graduated from the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. Since 1993, his works have been shown at international exhibitions, including the Sydney Biennale (1998), 48th Venice Biennale (1999) and 1st Guangzhou Triennale (2002). His project “Zhao Bandi & Panda” has been on public display in Shanghai, Milan, London and elsewhere.
The Palais de Tokyo, an art deco building that dates from 1937 and reopened in 2001, which is right next door to the Museum of Modern Art at the Trocadero, has opened as a showcase for contemporary art. The idea is to have no permanent collections, but to let experimental artists have somewhere in central Paris to express themselves, hence an opening full of “installation” and “interactive” art.
